About Lake Forest Montessori School

The school was established in early 1970’s serving Lake Forest and its neighborhood for more than 35 years. We now have second generation attending the school. Originally it was known as Casa dei Bambini. The teaching staff at Lake Forest Montessori are Montessori certified trained teachers, with majority of them working with us for more than 16 years. All members of the staff are dedicated to the Montessori approach to education and life which respects each child’s self-concept and developmental needs. At Lake Forest Montessori we strive to make each day of each child their best day.

Outdoor Sports

At LFMS we offer structured, beneficial physical activity as extra curriculum activity to our children. We believe physical activity is an essential component of every child’s healthy development. Our goal is to make fitness fun and help kids build essential fitness skills. Children learn Basics fundamentals and Mechanics of Soccer, Basketball, Football Baseball, Golf and Tennis.

Sewing Class

Sewing is a wonderful Montessori practical life activity. Not only is it great for developing skills such as fine-motor coordination and concentration, but many sewing projects have added value as “real work” projects children can complete. Children learn to cut fabric pieces, pin, sew in the Sewing Class.

My daughter started at Lake Forest Montessori when she was just 8 weeks old. From day one, I felt incredibly at ease leaving her in the care of Ms. Geetha, Ms. Jenefer and Ms. Betty in the infant room. They are both incredibly loving to every child and have many years of experience.
